Tadashi Ishimoto (born July 3, 1920 - September 26, 2015) was a Japanese painter. He is a member of the Soga-kai, professor emeritus at Kyoto City University of Arts, and professor at Kyoto University of Art and Design.

Born in Misumi-cho, Hamada City, Shimane Prefecture. He entered the Kyoto Municipal College of Painting (now Kyoto City University of Arts), but was drafted into the army while still a student and went to China. In September 1944, he graduated from the Japanese Painting Department of the Kyoto Municipal College of Painting (now Kyoto City University of Arts), and in 1947, his work "Three Girls" was selected for the 3rd Nitten. He became a member of the Shinseisaku Kyokai in 1956 and a professor at Kyoto City University of Arts in 1970. He won the Japan Art Grand Prize and the Minister of Education's Art Encouragement Prize in 1971.
