Tsuchiya Yoshimasa

After studying sculpture at Tokyo University of the Arts, Tsuchiya Yoshimasa completed a doctoral course in conservation sculpture at the university's postgraduate school. He is now an up-and-coming Japanese sculptor whose wood sculptures, using motifs ranging from real animals to mythical and imaginary ones, and employing traditional Buddhist sculpture techniques, have attracted a great deal of attention in Japan and abroad in recent years.
The Tsuchiya Jin'o Plush Toy Catloaf comes in a special paulownia wood box. This artistic plush toy faithfully reproduces the image of Tsuchiya's sculptures.
