Paul Augustin Aïzpiri (May 14, 1919 - January 22, 2016) was a Paris-born painter. He is highly regarded in Japan. Painter Gille Gorriti, Aïzpiri's eldest son, was born in Paris.


After studying at the École Polytechnique in Paris (École Boulle), he entered the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris in 1936 and studied in Fernand Sabaté's workshop. After the end of World War II, he exhibited at the Salon d'Automne, and in 1951, he exhibited with Bernard Buffet and others at the "Salon de la Jeune Peinture" organized by the art critic Pierre Descargues, for which he won a prize.
