Banksy (date of birth undisclosed) is an unidentified artist (street artist), political activist, and filmmaker based in the United Kingdom.
His works of political and social commentary can be found on streets, walls, and urban bridges around the world. Banksy has said he was inspired by 3D, a graffiti artist who later became a founding member of the British music group Massive Attack.
