Jippo Araki
Born in 1872. One of the most famous Japanese painters of the modern era. His real name is Teijiro Asanaga. He became an apprentice to Kanpo Araki, and later succeeded to the Araki family and took the name Araki Jpo. He left behind many works, but was particularly good at flower and bird paintings, and served as a judge at the Imperial Exhibition.
