Haku-ga

 Kazumi Matsuzaki uses a unique painting method called "foil painting" that uses metal foil, ink and paint to create vivid, life-like works with fish and other living creatures as motifs.


1969 Born in Miyazaki Prefecture


1996 Moved to Tokyo and joined ISAM (International Sumi Art Movement), a group of painters using sumi ink (until 2004)


1997 "ISAM Exhibition" at Osaki Museum of Art


1998 Exhibited at the ISAM exhibition at the Musee de la Mediterrale de Nice, Nice, France Organized Soui-kai and exhibited at the Soui exhibition at Gallery Okura, Ginza, Tokyo


1999 Exhibited at "ISAM Exhibition", Osaki Museum of Art, Osaki, Japan


2001 Exhibited at "ISAM Exhibition", Bangkok Donated a folding screen painting to ChitraladaSchool, commissioned by the Tourism Authority of Thailand


2002 Exhibited at Kabutoya Gallery, Ginza, Tokyo, for the 3rd Soi Exhibition


2003 Exhibited at "Esquisse Exhibition", Kimpo-do Gallery, Roppongi (Exhibited until the 5th exhibition in 2004) Exhibited at "ISAM Exhibition", Osaki Museum of Art, Osaki, Japan Exhibited at "ISAM Small Works Exhibition", Kimpo-do Gallery, Roppongi, Japan
